For the year-round combination, the most popular among customers is Chocolate and Caramel syrup. Cleverly named the “Nickiah” after the barista who came up with the combo, this drink is loved by even people who don’t like coffee. To order this we’d recommend ordering a Mocha with Caramel syrup, as extra syrup is 25 cents for any amount- feel free to figure out the perfect balance of pumps for you, as sweetness preference varies from person to person. The combination of Chocolate and Toasted Marshmallow syrups also embodies a hot chocolate with marshmallows which, to many, is a comforting drink.
Seasonally, some good fall combinations involve our seasonal syrups of cinnamon and pumpkin spice. For a cinnamon bun-style latte, combine Vanilla or Toasted Marshmallow and Cinnamon syrups. This latte combo has a warm feeling even in iced drinks and is the perfect fall combo for fans of Gilmore Girls, or just the general fall atmosphere. For a pumpkin pie latte, ask for some combination of Pumpkin Spice, Toasted Marshmallow, and possibly some Cinnamon syrup. Pumpkin works well for chai and the regular coffee latte. These combinations are for fans of lattes or chai, the fall, and fall-associated desserts.
Good winter combinations involve the seasonal syrups of White Chocolate and Peppermint. White Chocolate is good on its own, but combined with Peppermint it embodies the holiday spirit with each sip. This same combo can be applied to the regular Chocolate syrup for people not fond of the sweetness of White Chocolate. Matcha and chai also pair pretty well with white chocolate for lovers of sweet drinks.
When in doubt- ask your baristas! With a free drink at the end of each shift, they become increasingly more familiar with the syrups and have come up with their own favorite drinks. Eventually with enough visits and testing around, you too will have your own personalized favorite syrup combo; whether it be for Italian sodas, coffee, chai, matcha, or lemonade, there is a perfect drink for everyone.
