From award-winning executive producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennen returns the horror drama comedy, Scream Queens, for its second season. This season begins with Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), after making millions from her book and other projects, opening a hospital called C.U.R.E. (Caregivers United in Restorative Etiology) Institute Hospital, with the goal of solving and curing patients of cases previously believed to be unsolvable. Zayday Williams (Keke Palmer) returns to Scream Queens as one of the doctors at C.U.R.E., her associates being Dr. Cassidy Cascade (Taylor Lautner) and Dr. Brock Holt (John Stamos). Surprisingly, Munsch also recruits Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd), and Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin), to assist at the hospital as well.
C.U.R.E may seem benign, but it has a dark past full of incompetent, drunk, party obsessed doctors, unlucky patients, promises of revenge, and a murderer in a green monster suit. When this past catches up to the present day hospital, it is up to Munsch, Zayday, and the Chanels to figure out what to do, and figure out who, or what, is the green monster.
The premiere episode of Season 2 successfully introduced the new and returning characters and caught viewers up on what they missed between the end of Season 1, and the beginning ofSseason 2. Viewers are happy with what they’ve seen so far and according to Sarah Moran, Scream Queens Season 2 is “wacky, it’s funny, and at times thrilling in a way only the best slashers can be”. So far, this season of Scream Queens is proving to be more comedic than frightening, but the comedy is just as hilarious, if not more, than it was last season.
Will Scream Queens, Season 2 prove to be thrilling and full of plot twists, or will this promising start fall flat in later episodes?
