Mac Miller recently came out with a very popular album called GO:OD AM. This is the third studio-recorded album written by the talented young musician. He began his music career as a fledging boy at the age of 17, releasing two mixtapes that started his worldwide fame. People all around have talked about how his first albums were classic and very catchy. Some said his 2013 album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, was not very good. However, his newest album is all anyone has been talking about.
His fans have been quite surprised as to the rhythmical music he has created. The transformation from his appealing adolescent lines to his complex intriguing lyrics has been a miraculous change. I’ve asked many of my friends about their thoughts on his recently released album, and mainly all of them tell me that their favorite song is “The Weekend Ft. Miguel”. In many of his interviews, Mac Miller has talked about how astonished he was with Miguel’s work in this song. The young rapper from Pennsylvania not only seemed amazed at the fact that Miguel was willing to work with him but also his mystical talent of making music his own.
Mac Miller has a girlfriend who many of his songs are written about. One of his songs called “ROS” is very popular. This song is about his girlfriend Naomi ( his high school lover) and expresses the passionate feelings there are between the two of them. This devoted couple has to go through months of being away from each other, in behalf of Malcom being on tour for two to three months of the year. Some other highlights from the album are “Brand Name” and “Festival”. All in all, I would say that Mac has transformed his sound in a positive way with this new album. More sophisticated lyrics and a more diverse list of songs have made GO: OD AM a success.
