Festival of Lights
The pride of the Cincinnati holidays is undoubtedly the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. The entire zoo is decorated from head to tail to fin to claw with beautiful LED holiday lights of every imaginable color and in extraordinary designs. You can take the train to see the lights from all angles, or just spend the night walking along every path you find. If youre still one to sit on Santas lap, you can even go find him and tell him what you want for Christmas.

Ice Skating on Fountain Square
Fountain Square is crowded at this time of year by a huge ice rink that always attracts skaters of all ages. Although the wait can be long, admission is cheap, at $3.00, and there is nothing quite like skating outside, listening to holiday music, and taking in Cincinnati in the winter.

The Nutcracker
The Cincinnati Ballet is putting on The Nutcracker, as per usual, with Clara and rats and sugar-plum fairies. However, this year, the Ballet has redone the entire production. The Ballets website explains that the show will have new sets, new costumes, and new choreography. Take a trip to the Aronoff Center to witness this re-vamped version of the holiday classic.
