Ever at a loss for what to make for a bake sale or advisory snack? Fear not! Here are two showstopper recipes from the Country Day community that are as easy as pie.
Lauren Wileys Fantastic Cake Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 box of cake mix
- 1 can of frosting
- Chocolate coating (white, milk, dark)
- Topping (sprinkles, nuts, etc.)
Procedure:
Bake the cake as instructed on the box. While the cake is still warm, crumble it up into a large bowl. Add 2/3 of the can of frosting and stir until well mixed. Form balls of cake. Place the balls in the freezer for at least two hours.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave and cover cake balls. Sit the covered cake balls on a piece of wax or parchment paper and add any toppings. Let the cake balls cool so that the chocolate coating is hard. Enjoy!
