Wow. The student body really made in impression on the Cabinet with Spring Fling this past weekend. Everyone was dressed to the nines; the girls looked beautiful and the boys looked dapper (fitting for the gorgeous Carnegie Center). We hope you all had fun because we certainly did. With Spring Fling pulled off successfully (thank heavens we didn’t get any more snow!), Student Council can focus all its attention on the House Cup and Prom.
Speaking of House Cup, we’ve got some exciting and original events coming up. Towers from Science Olympiad might make an appearance, as well as some other more athletic competitions like Ultimate Frisbee. Because every grade has been enthusiastically supporting their representatives, Student Council has decided to obtain class flags—simply designed with their respective graduation years. The grade who wins the House Cup at the end of the year will be able to fly their class flag with pride for the next year.
And speaking of flying, the Cabinet and all of Student Council want to wish the student body a fun and safe spring break. With the weather warming up (hope I haven’t jinxed it!), vacation will be pleasant and sunny whether you stay in the tri-state or leave the country. These first three quarters have been tough, and we all deserve a relaxing two weeks without our backpacks. Log out of Microsoft Outlook, remove the Portal from your Google Chrome bookmarks and leave your textbooks alone for a while. Enjoy yourselves and rest up for the final quarter of the 2012-2013 school year!
