Due to a lack of interest, the yearly Los Angeles photo trip will not be
taking place this year. Usually led by Upper School Art Department Head, Carole Lichty-Smith, the trip is typically a three day expedition to one of Americas most vibrant and colorful cities. This opportunity gives award-winning photography students, as well as beginners, a chance to broaden their talents while providing them with a new atmosphere in which to perfect their craft.
Ms. Lichty-Smith explained that she simply had an insufficient number of students willing to travel and if more had decided to go at a later date, she would have been unable to purchase plane tickets in time. The trip, a Country Day tradition for nine years, will hopefully resume next year.
