This past Friday, Baffour Agyeman-Duah, a Senior Special Advisor at the United Nations, spoke to CCDS students about his experiences at the U.N. and today’s global landscape. Baffour, the great uncle of CCDS senior Gabrielle Richardson, visited the senior elective Economics class and had lunch with the Model United Nations club. The U.N. advisor discussed a variety of topics, including his current involvement with the United Nations Mission in Liberia and the economic landscape of Africa. “He talked about some really interesting issues pertaining to economics,” said Emily Grupp, a senior in Mr. Carr’s Economics elective. While born in Ghana, Agyeman-Duah came to study in the United States at Ohio University and the University of Denver, the latter at which he studied with former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.  His vast experience in global affairs provided stimulating discussion on timely topics. “His breadth of knowledge is incredible,” said Carr.
