My favorite show on TV is Bones. Murder, action, logic, and romance define and make this show the best out there. In every show a murder is solved by Temperance Brennan (a forensic anthropologist at the Jeffersonian) and her FBI partner Seeley Booth. Here are the seven reasons everybody should watch Bones:
1. Tension
There is a constant tension between Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan. Their relationship is confusing and unpredictable. There is always a hint of love between them. But with Temperance’s logical mind, she doesn’t believe in love the same way that Seeley Booth does. This drives them forward, just like the plot, as viewers wait for the tension to break with Seeley and Temperance so they can finally get together.
2. Plot
Every episode a new gruesome murder is found, and the pair solves the murder and finds the murderer. Brennan and Booth get the hardest cases of all. With his soft, psychological approach and her logical, science driven-side, the two always crack the case.
3. Science
The Jeffersonian Institution in Washington D.C. is the home of the science on the show. Here, the real forensic science takes place. With the bones and particulates found, they can narrow down the suspects and solve the case. Dr. Hodgins, the self-professed “king of the lab,” constantly tries to do crazy demonstrations, and Angela Montenagro’s drawings and virtual creations of the actual murders allow the team to unravel any hard case.
4. Characters
Dr. Hodgi
ns, played by T.J. Thyne, has been there from the very beginning. He is the extremely wealthy (but modest) bug and slime guy, who enjoys finding anything to solve the case. Angela Montenagro, played by Michaela Conlin, is the true heart and soul of the lab. She keeps reality and sensitivity in the investigation. She is an artist who helps identify victims through facial reconstruction, among a variety of other things for her team. Dr. Camille Saroyan, played by Tamara Taylor, is the boss and chief coroner; she always makes sure everything is in line. Finally, there are many lab interns who come in to follow and participate with the group. The team, along with Temperance and Seeley, make a group of intellectuals that don’t let any murderer walk free.
5. Psychology
Although Brennan would say that there is no such thing as psychology, Dr. Lance Sweets of the FBI would completely disagree. Dr. Sweets, played by John Francis Daley, believes that Booth and Brennan have a stronger connection to each other than anyone thinks. He directs weekly meetings with the pair and sees their inner workings as a team. Since Brennan and Booth are complete and total opposites, this attracts them and makes them work together so much better.
6. Seeley Booth
Softy but tough guy Seeley Booth, played by David Boreanaz, adds the human element to the pair. He is the one that recognizes and feels the strong connection between him and Brennan as something more. Feeling that he is the protector and macho man, Booth will do anything for Brennan and his team. When the day is done and the murder finished, he will be the one to break down walls like he has in the past; ultimately this will either develop or destroy his future with Brennan.
7. Temperance Brennan
Temperance Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel, is the logic and science behind the partnership. She constantly speaks of her qualifications and her wealth (seeing that she is a world renowned author). In the beginning, she tried to do everything that Booth does, being more than a “squint” as Booth calls it. But she was incapable. Her logic drives her science and her want of the truth, but eventually she will see, just as Booth does, the true potential of their relationship.
