Please congratulate our winners who placed in the TOP THREE  in a field of 20 players!!!

Club leaders Connor Paff ‘21 and Jack Connelly ’21, and Club Advisor Dr. Yven Destin would like to thank everyone who participated in Country Day’s first of many future chess tournaments.

Next week we will have a formal recognition of our winners and tournament participants.

We would also like to recognize the resurgence of chess in the Upper School. Whether you watched from the sidelines, played a game or two, told someone about the tournament, or provided moral support to a tournament participant, you helped breathe life back into the chess program at CCDS, the former and future center of chess in Cincinnati.

Chess boards are always available in Dr. Destin’s office. For those interested in learning how to play, please consult any member of the chess club. They are more than willing to teach you.
