As the heat rises and academic ambitions drop, everyone feels summer approaching. Bathing suits, t-shirts, and your favorite pair of jorts (jean shorts) reemerge from the depths of your closet, revealed in honor of the upcoming season. While looking good and keeping comfortable temperature-wise is extremely important, finding a balance of both is difficult. With the help of Pinterest, I have found great ways to achieve this feat: rompers and sandals.
Not only is it a simple piece of clothing, but a romper is also loose fitting and breathable. A romper is versatile for many occasions. Paired with wedges and nice jewelry, a romper can be worn for a show, dinner, or any other formal occasion. A romper can also be dressed down, clad with flip flops and a flowy shawl. Rompers with intricate patterns or color blocking also offer an interesting visual.
Sandals—one of fashion’s greatest achievements. One can walk for hours, look sophisticated, and not have the burden of a sock’s additional layer. Sandals are a fancier flip-flop, or a downscaled high heel; they are the perfect middle. Comfortable and cute, sandals can be worn with dresses, skirts, shorts, and even jeans. Brown is a great sandal color because of its neutrality.
