Personally, I love the holiday season and all of its accouterments: food, family, clothes, and the magnanimous propensities everyone attempts to achieve in this merry month of December. As the holiday countdown number dwindles, so does the temperature. Winter coats and scarves are pulled from their nook in the closet. Fuzzy socks and warm boots suddenly slip into every outfit you wear.
In terms of style, I do not have one. I wake up every morning and I approach it as a blank slate. The two conditions I always follow in dressing, being warm and not breaking dress code, lead me to lots of freedom. My all-time favorite article of clothing is the infamous ugly Christmas (or Hanukah) sweater. Why do I love it so much? I receive many holiday sweaters that just happen to be ugly; I own a plethora of the heinous, itchy pullovers. The tacky designs and unflattering colors are a sure way to attract attention. Another piece of clothing I love is my Christmas one-piece pajamas. Abercrombie made, this soft, fleece-interior onesie is my favorite purchase thus far in the holiday season. Complete with a hood, red and green pattern with reindeer, and a guarantee of comfort, my pajamas have been the butt of all my family’s jokes. Giggles aside, I think everyone needs a little holiday spirited outfit no matter how embarrassing. Wear the penguin socks or the candy cane ties; enjoy the elf shirts and Santa slippers. It is the most wonderful time of year, a time to be happy and have fun! Happy holidays.
