Starbucks has come out with new fall food and drinks! A favorite, the Salted Caramel Mocha, now has been made into Frappuccino form! I have tried this, because of my obsession with everything Starbucks, and it is terrific! It tastes just like it sounds: salted caramel with coffee. There is actually some salt on the top, which surprised me at first and may sound bizarre, but it complements the caramel well. The combination of salty and sweet is amazing! I suggest that if you like the Caramel Frappuccino or the S’mores Frappuccino, the Salted Caramel Mocha is a great suggestion for you! The Pumpkin Spice Latte, a beloved classic, is also back! In trying this, I have learned it is perfect for cool, fall days when you want to warm up. It does not taste very strongly of coffee, so if you do not like coffee it would be an option for you! Like the Pumpkin Spiced Latte, the Caramel Apple Spice is for people uninterested in coffee flavoring, in fact, there is no coffee at all. The Caramel Apple Spice, steamed apple juice drizzled with caramel and whipped cream, can be found year round, but always better in the fall.
Then, for the food, we have the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin. I think that this goes perfectly with the Salted Caramel Frappucino, since it also has salty and sweet flavor. It is the perfect muffin to grab for breakfast, or any time for that matter. The next new fall food for Starbucks is the Pumpkin Scone. This scone was good, but it was a little too sweet for me. They coated it in icing, and I couldn’t finish it without taking some of the icing off. If you have a sweet tooth, it is perfect for you, but for those of you who cannot handle too much sweetness, I would try something else, like the Washington Apple Pound Cake. This treat was not too sweet because of the tartness from the apples. It had the same flavors as an apple pie or cobbler. I thought it was good, and as long as you like apple pie, you will enjoy this. All of these fall flavors are definitely worth trying. Whether you want a snack to eat or drink after school, or a quick breakfast in the morning, I would go to Starbucks and check out these drinks and food for yourself.
