This year, the Parents Association aims to bring CCDS together through the CCDS Business Exchange and Community Bulletin Board website. The website is an online place for CCDS families, alums, students, faculty, and staff to post and peruse business information, employment and volunteer opportunities, want ads, and other notes of interest.
The new website is divided into two parts: the Community Bulletin Board and the Business Exchange. The Community Bulletin Board provides information on opportunities for employment, purchases, and care services. Posting on the board is free.
The Business Exchange is a searchable database of businesses and services offered by members of the CCDS community. For an annual fee of $150, qualifying businesses create a listing which includes a description of services offered, a company logo, and contact information, including a link to the companys website. Also, to celebrate the launch of this new tool, all $150 postings on the Business Exchange before November 1, 2009, will be entered into a random drawing for a Dell Mini 10v notebook.
We felt that the Business Exchange website would be a great way for members of the CCDS community to connect with each others businesses and professional servicesboth in Cincinnati and beyond, exclaimed Mr. Jon Hall, president of the PA. The Parents Association also hopes the Business Exchange will be a great resource for new families just moving to Cincinnati and joining the CCDS community. In addition, the website initiative will provide revenue for the PA through the fees paid for Business Exchange posts.
The Business Exchange and Community Bulletin Board are free to view and easily accessible through the Support CCDS tab of the CCDS website homepage. According to Mr. Hall, the PA hopes the Business Exchange and Community Bulletin Board will promote familiarity, confidence, and peace of mind when accessing services from fellow CCDS community members.
