On Saturday, February 7, Country Day had their Winter Formal! The Thursday before the dance was a decades-themed spirit day, students were decked out in poodle skirts, tie dye, bell bottomed jeans, and leg warmers according to grade and decade correspondence. Winter Formal, dubbed WiFo 2k15, was a blast from the past. DJs DJDMANG and Luke Rhymer (seniors Danielle Mangat and Luke Deimer) brought a mix of music from Bon Jovi to Mantero Moreno-Cheek’s ‘15 “Cincinnati Life”. The freshman loved this new experience, especially the “strobe lights, music, and location.” Ayanna Kemp ’18 explained, “I enjoyed the whole fun atmosphere!” Conveniently in the library, no yellow limousines were needed to ferry students to the dance at an alternate location. The Student Council did a great job bringing the library to life with the CD picture wall and awareness of the theme throughout the weeks prior through the video at assembly and through dress up days. As Sarah Jarrell ’18 put it, “Fun people means fun times.”
