“Everyone Loves Pizza” has just reviewed Pomodori’s Pizzeria and Trattoria, one of the only restaurants in Cincinnati with a wood-fired pizza oven. The pizza served here is delicious! The best you will ever have! With a wood-fired pizza oven, Pomodori’s makes a variety of pizzas ranging from the usual pepperoni and margherita to the extreme Mediterranean and Gourmet Leaf Goat Cheese. You can even customize your own pizza. In my opinion, Pomodori’s is the best restaurant in Cincinnati. After all, it won first place for the second semester.
Club members reviewed 11 wood-fired pizzas at Pomodori’s: margherita, pepperoni, Mediterranean pizza with spinach, tomato, and oregano, Mexican bruschetta pizza with white sauce, onions, and mushrooms, Herbal basal pizza with white sauce, garlic, and basil, Spinach pizza with bacon, white sauce, mushrooms, spinach, and onions, Leaf Goat Cheese pizza, Four Cheese Pizza, and Gourmet Pizza with 2 cheeses and sautéed vegetables. We reviewed two desert apple pizzas which were also made in the wood-fired oven. Club members loved the pizza at Pomodori’s! Many had never tried pizza made in a wood-fired oven before. This was an experience we will never forget. Here are the results:
Sauce = 4.7 stars
Cheese = 4.6 stars
Toppings = 4.7 stars
Crust = 4.8 stars
Overall = 4.8 stars
These ratings are extremely high! In fact, Pomodori’s has scored higher than Domino’s, the winning restaurant for the first semester. If you want some delicious pizza made in a unique way, go to Pomodori’s. You won’t regret it.
Club Members also reviewed Pomodori’s presentation and service. Here are the results:
Overall Presentation of the Pizza = 4.6 stars
Appearance of the Restaurant = 4.6 stars
Wait Time (with 1 being long and 5 being short) = 4.7 stars
Service = 5 stars.
Note: every single member who reviewed Pomodori’s gave its service 5 stars! Great job, Pomodori’s!
Everything served at Pomodori’s is delicious. Club members especially liked the sauce, toppings, and crust. The sauce tasted great and the crust was neither too crunchy nor too soft. It was slightly burnt at the top which made it perfect – thanks to the wood-fired oven. We loved the variety of cheese as well.
As sophomore Luke Tan explains, “Pomodori’s is impressive. They serve the best cheese pizza I have ever had. Wow!!” Luke gave Pomodori’s 5 stars for every category. Trisha Atluri, ’16, agrees. While reviewing the Mediterranean pizza, Trisha explained that she really liked “the combination of the ingredients put on the pizza. The tomato, onion, feta, and spinach all complement each other deliciously well to create one big party in my mouth.”
There are simply not enough words to describe Pomodori’s. On top of serving delicious food made in a wood-fired oven, the servers at Pomodori’s were very friendly. They gave club members a tour of their kitchen and a history of their restaurant. They also taught us how to make the pizza we reviewed. Starting from scratch, we learned how to spread the pizza and toss it in the air like a true Italian chef. Afterwards, we learned how to put the ingredients on the pizza and then place the pizza in the wood-fired oven. This 650 to 700 degree oven cooked each pizza within two minutes. That’s why there is never a long wait! In the words of seniors Matt Valido and Ishan Ghildyal, “There are great people at Pomodori’s who are willing to teach and share.”
Thank you, Pomodori’s, for all of your help. “Everyone Loves Pizza” cannot wait to return!
